Use ArgilCAD from your own AI

Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor or VS Code design the part, build it in your ArgilCAD window, check how it looks and export STEP, STL or 3MF — on your own AI subscription, using no ArgilCAD credits.

How it works

1

Your AI thinks

Your assistant plans the part and prepares the model, on your own AI subscription.

2

ArgilCAD builds

The connector hands it to your open ArgilCAD, which builds it on your computer and shows it.

3

Check, undo, export

Every run is a step in your timeline. The AI looks at renders, fixes its errors and exports.

Questions

Does it use ArgilCAD credits?

No. Your AI does the thinking on your own subscription, and the CAD runs on your computer.

Which plan do I need?

Connecting an AI assistant comes with Starter and Pro. See plans.

Does ArgilCAD have to be open?

Yes — the desktop app, or argildesign.com/argilcad in a web browser on a computer. Open a project, or let your assistant create one.

Why doesn’t it work in Safari?

Safari does not let a website talk to programs on your own computer, and the connector your AI starts is such a program. Other browsers allow it. In Safari, use the ArgilCAD desktop app instead.

Can I use ChatGPT, Claude or Grok in the browser?

Not yet: web chats only reach connectors hosted on the internet. Use Codex with a ChatGPT plan, Claude Desktop or Claude Code with a Claude plan, or Gemini CLI with a Google account.

Where does my design go?

From ArgilCAD to the AI client you connected, and from there to that AI’s provider, under its terms. Nothing goes to ArgilCAD’s servers.

Two assistants at once?

Yes. Claude Desktop and Codex, say, can both be connected; each takes its own slot.
